Founded in 1863, Camus is the largest Cognac house to still be entirely family-owned. \nFor five generations, the Camus family has worked with boundless passion and patience to craft remarkable Cognacs capable of inspiring rare, intense emotions. \nToday Cyril Camus is the guardian of this rich heritage, maintaining the ancestral commitment to excellence and affirming the distinctive style of Camus Cognacs.\n\nFor the last 500 years the vineyards in the Borderies, Cognac’s smallest area, have produced some of the greatest and most aromatic cognacs.\nCamus Borderies XO Family Reserve is a Single-Estate cognac produced exclusively from the Camus family’s private vineyards.\nAll the wines come from this magnificent estate, the largest in the Borderies area with vineyards surrounded by forests and naturally preserved areas.\nThe Camus family ensures that the vineyards are cultivated in an ecologically sensitive manner preserving the environment and wildlife.\nEach barrel is unique with wines from each parcel of the vineyards being distilled and aged in separate casks. During the ageing process Camus keeps each eau-de-vie separated without blending them. This allows the Camus Cellar Master to blend these eaux-de-vie to create this Intensely Aromatic, Single-Estate Cognac.\n\nThe first nose unveils the full extent of its rich array of aromas with a perfect balance between very aromatic fruity and floral notes and gourmet notes of pastry and vanilla. Rich and elegant with hints of light spices and cinnamon the Camus Borderies XO Family Reserve develops perfectly in the glass displaying a subtle and elegant character with delicate and long-lasting floral hints. In the mouth, a soft, buttery, pastry style with a rounded and elegantly textured sensation in one’s mouth of flowers, fruit, vanilla and a light sprinkling of sweet spices.
