Malpastor Reserva is a refined Tempranillo, grown on poor clay‑limestone soils in Labastida.

In the cellar, the wine sees 15 days of skin contact, temperature‑controlled fermentation, then ageing on lees in concrete followed by at least 12 months in French and American oak and a further 6 months in bottle.

It shows a dark cherry colour and intense aromas of black plum jam, cherries, dates and warm spicy notes, including a touch of green pepper.

On the palate it is smooth, silky and dry, with elegant tannins, moderate acidity and enough structure to age gracefully for 2–7 years.
