Purgatori

Purgatori is the first Torres’ single vineyard wine from the Costers del Segre appellation of origin. Since 1780, monks from Montserrat Abbey settled in the Desterrats estate - extreme climate and tough conditions - as a penance. They discovered it was the perfect place to grow vines. Beautiful dark cherry red color. Exquisite red forest fruit (raspberry, redcurrant) aroma with deep, jammy undertones of cherry. Intense on the palate, with delicate, elegant, fine-grained tannins. A wine of exceptional personality. The legend: big barrels mysteriously disappeared. Some told that the angels carried them to the heights.
