This 3rd edition in the Smoketrails Collection cross the Atlantic for the first time, and lands in the world renowned wine region -Napa Valley. The Napa Valley region of California, is known for its highly sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks. With a heart matured in Cabernet Sauvignon casks and married with classic ex-bourbob barrels, this whisky is a bold and rich spirit. Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks from Napa Valley are renowned for their unique flavors with rich fruitiness, velvety tannins, and hints of oak and spice – an ideal match for Ardbeg’s distinctive character.

Tasting Notes - Nose: Deep, smoky, but curiously floral at the same time, with hints of rose candy, Turkish delight, baking ryebread, smoked plums, fragrant candle wax and bonfire embers. With a few drops of water, some fragrant top notes emerge, like jasmine, rose water and lavender, along with the subtlest hint of menthol.

Tasting Notes - Palate: The soft, mouthcoating texture leads into gentle tastes of baking bread, black olives, roseflavoured chocolate truffles, tarry rope, espresso macchiato coffee and touches of antique leather. Some deep, Smoky and oaky flavours develop, and the lingering finish is characterised by cooling notes of menthol, eucalyptus and camphor.
