Char Bourbon Cask Reserve

Bushmills #3 Char Bourbon Cask Reserve is the third edition in it's travel retail-exclusive Steamship Collection, launched to mark the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills steamship's maiden voyage. This edition is the result of our long-standing relationship with coopers from Louisville, Kentucky who reserve only the finest American white oak bourbon casks to mature this unique whiskey. The seasoned casks are emptied and custom-charred before being shipped to the Old Bushmills Distillery and filled exclusively with triple-distilled Bushmills Single Malt Irish Whiskey. Char has significant impact on the flavour as it draws out incredible spicy, honeyed vanilla flavours from deep within the cask. The result is a rare limited release, matured to perfection in first-fill #3 char bourbon casks to give a honeyed maltiness and notes of toasted oak, spices and creme brulee, with a long, rich and smooth finish.
